FROM THE DESK OF RABBI LINDER
Why should I follow you on Twitter?  Don’t I have enough things I already don’t read?!

Communication happens in many ways.  We talk, we put post-its on the fridge, we type a to-do on the blackberry, we write letters, we pray.

We think that Twitter can be an excellent communication tool to quickly share thoughts and opinions, send links to interesting articles and themes, and continue to strengthen the relationships that we have with each other.

For those of you on Twitter, we ask you to follow us and our thoughts, and to share yours!

If you haven't jumped on this yet, here's a short video introduction: http://www.commoncraft.com/twitter.  A tutorial can be found here: http://punetech.com/why-twitter/.  Then, go to www.twitter.com and get an account (which will take under one minute.)  Once you've done that, click the links below to add us, and we can provide other suggestions and help if you'd like.

As a religious community, we know that this can be a great way to collectively share ideas and thoughts with each other.  It is another way to strengthen our network, our synagogue, and our Jewish identity.

The world that can be, indeed.

Congregation of Temple Israel Blog   |   Mar 30, 2009 12:00 AM
Submitted by Rabbi Eric Linder There is not one definition of what religion “does.” It is different things to different people, and often in the same faith. Of course, this doesn’t stop some from trying; the theologian Paul Tillich defines religion as one’s ‘ultimate concern.’ I like that. But looking at it closer, [...]
